I believe (yet, fail frequently) in the "I Am Third" lifestyle. God first, others second, then me. I know that the secret to a meaningful life is to place other's needs above my own, even when it doesn't seem to make sense. (Is that ironic?) I'm not saying I always live it, but I want to, and I try. I often feel guilty that I've had such an easy life. I'd like to say it's because I've made more good choices than bad in my life, but I have a hunch that it's because I'm a wimp, and God knows I can't handle too much hard stuff. I have had many amazing people in my life. Some only for a brief time, some I've lost touch with, some are with Jesus, others I have the privilege of almost daily contact. They are pieces of my life's puzzle which would not be complete without each one. For all of these folks, I am deeply grateful. For any I've neglected or hurt, I am deeply sorry! 52 sounds so old, but I guess I don't mind, even though I am faced more and more each day with the reality that I am only on this earth briefly, and I so enjoy it! I do hope to make it to the ripe old age of 87(as long as I'm reasonably healthy).
