FLASHBACKS!

Last night was fun. We were over at the Brock's house just to hang out. While Michael and Robert tried to sell Randy Jr. on country music, the old fogeys (not me) picked up the guitars and started playing. They were just playing from memory, stuff that they used to play way-back-when. They started with, you know, "church songs". That was fun. They started going backwards in history till they got to the 1970's Jesus Movement/Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Then they couldn't resist. They crossed over to the secular side! Everything from Rolling Stones, to Dusty Springfield, Sonny and Cher, Beach Boys, Three Dog Night and more. It was amusing seeing "those" old guys and gals singing their hearts out, songs that came from "their" younger days. I just sang along for the fun of it cause, you know, they're WAY older than me. ;) Weeeellllll, Kristi sang too!

Good friends, old and new, no agendas, no generation gap, no pretense. Now that's church. It was a blast.

Comments:
I had a great time! Here Randy JR wanted to leave early, then we all ended up staying late! Let's do it again!

Cool. Yeah, baby! That's hip. What ever turns you on! Peace out!

We should do that around the campfire when we go to death valley. Jared should bring his guitar if you have guys have room.
