Families Without Borders - Thanksgiving 2006

I'm thankful for Thanksgiving! We sure had a great time with y'all yesterday, and are so glad that each one was there. Randy was bummed because he forgot to give people an opportunity to share their thanks before he prayed. We always want to do that, but somehow when the food gets put out, that's the whole focus and we forget. My flicker and blogger aren't talking right now so I can't put up any pictures. Maybe others can. Love to all of you!

Hey! Wanna see my scar?

Just kidding. I don't have a picture of my scar, you have to see me in person for that. But here's a picture of the inside of my arm. See the little door knob inside? Cool, huh? This is my final xray. I am officially "out of treatment". I have pretty good flexibility and only a little pain. The healing power if the human body is really amazing. Thanks God!!!

I feel hope!

We went to a gathering at Ventura Missionary Church tonight. It was Tim Hughes and Mike Pivilacci (have no idea if that's how his name goes). I was stunned. I have grown so used to the sleepy church that I fully expected for there to be about 30 people and for them to be sitting waiting to be entertained. (Yeah. I'm synical and sceptical.) Oh my gosh! The place was full (1000 I think) and the people who were there were truly worshiping God. The band and the speaker were very un-celebrity like and totally pointing to Jesus. Several mentions of the church uniting and mobilizing in the name of Jesus brought cheers from the crowd. Very exciting!

Our Kitchen Counter...
